Less Bark, More Backbone

Exciting News! I’m running for East Knox School Board!

 

For the past 13 years, I’ve been proud to call East Knox home. My wife and I are raising two children in the district, and I also have an older daughter who lives outside the district. Since 2018, I’ve had the privilege of serving as President of Howard Youth League, a program that supports over 250 East Knox kids each year through football, cheerleading, basketball, baseball, and softball. I also serve as an assistant coach for East Knox Junior High Football and volunteer with nonprofits, including Food for the Hungry.

 

Through these roles, I’ve seen firsthand the impact strong schools and community involvement have on our kids’ growth. That’s why I’m running for the East Knox School Board: to strengthen academics, support students and families, and bring Bulldog pride into our district leadership.

 

 My Priorities

 

 Strong Academics

Our students deserve the best opportunities in the classroom. I will support policies and programs that raise academic achievement and prepare every student for success beyond graduation.

 

 Supporting Youth & Extracurriculars

I’m a big believer in what sports offer our young people — teamwork, discipline, leadership, and pride. But not every student finds their passion on the field. I want to see East Knox expand opportunities with a fully functioning Drama Club, stronger band and music programs, the creation of a Mock Trial team, and more support for the arts. From athletics to music to academics, every child should have the chance to shine.

 

 Community Voice & Involvement

Parents and community members should have the opportunity to be active partners in shaping the future of our schools. I support the creation of committees where families can review curriculum, provide feedback, and help guide district initiatives. These opportunities ensure decisions are made openly, and with input from the people who care most about our children’s future.

 

 Fiscal Responsibility

Every taxpayer dollar matters. I will work to ensure our district makes smart financial decisions, prioritizing students and teachers while being accountable to the community.
